Bucyrus City Council Announcement

         The Bucyrus City Council will meet at 7:00 PM Tuesday,
May 16, 2017 for a regularly scheduled Council meeting in Council Chambers, City Hall, 500 S. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus.
          Council will consider legislation for: 

  • Two alley vacations at Hopley Avenue and Whetstone Street

          At the beginning of the meeting Dan Ross will be sworn in as an at-large Council member, filling the seat vacated by Wanda Sharrock on April 30. He was appointed to the position by the Crawford County Democratic Party on May 11.

          The public is invited to attend the meeting. Council reserves the right to amend the agenda as needed for the regularly scheduled Council meeting.


NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

On Monday, June 12, 2017, at 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 500 S. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus, a public hearing will be conducted by The Bucyrus City Council to consider proposed amendments to the Bucyrus City Zoning Ordinance. This public hearing is in accordance with Bucyrus Codified Ordinances 1125.06, 1145.06 and Ohio Revised Code 713.12.

The Bucyrus City Platting Committee has recommended the following amendment to the Bucyrus Zoning Ordinances:

1157.02 Official Zoning District Map

Redistrict the following parcels at 1215 Hopley Ave. for MMB Development, LLC;

080017700000 from Urban Neighborhood Residential (R3) to Limited Commercial/Industrial      (LIC)
080017701000 from Urban Neighborhood Residential (R3) to Limited Commercial/Industrial      (LIC)

The proposed zoning changes shall be on file for public examination in the office of the Zoning Administrator at City Hall.

Council meetings are televised on our local access Channel.  At each meeting the citizens of Bucyrus are able to present information about upcoming events, public service messages, or bring up subjects for discussion
