Bucyrus City Council Announcement

The Bucyrus City Council will meet at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018 for a regularly scheduled Council meeting in Council Chambers, City Hall, 500 S. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus. 
          Council will consider legislation for:

  • Amendment of City Income Tax Code
  • Billet/Solid Waste
  • Employee Manpower/seasonal help
  • Various appropriations
  • Amendment of Res. No. 205-2017 (Southern Avenue sewer)
  • Purchase of former ODOT facility
  • Purchase of second property

          The public is invited to attend the meeting. Council reserves the right to amend the agenda as needed for the regularly scheduled Council meeting.


A public hearing will be held by Bucyrus City Council on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 500 S. Sandusky Ave. The Bucyrus City Platting Committee is considering amending Section 1163.04 of the Bucyrus Zoning Code to include a new section to permit multi-family dwellings as a conditional use in the City’s R3 districts.

Residents may express opinions about this proposed zoning classification by appearing at the public hearing or by submitting a letter to John S. Rostash, Zoning Administrator, City of Bucyrus, 500 S. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820. Letters must be received prior to the public hearing so they can be entered into the official record during the hearing.

For questions about the proposed zoning district classification, please contact the City Zoning Administrator, Mr. Rostash, at 419-562-6767, ext. 226, or in the City Engineering and Zoning office in City Hall, 500 S. Sandusky Ave., between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

 


Upcoming Committee Meetings

     The following committees will meet in Council Chambers of City Hall, 500 S. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus, for special committee meetings:       

  • Public Lands & Buildings Committee – will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.
  • Finance Committee – will meet at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

          The special meetings have been called by Mayor Jeff Reser. Topics of discussion will be purchase of the former ODOT facility on West Irving Street, and purchase of a second property.
